Understanding Candidate Scores

What the score, recommendation tier, and breakdown actually mean — and how to act on them.

Deborah Adeleye-Olalekan 5 min read

The headline number

The 0–100 score reflects how closely the application matches the job you created. Anything above your threshold (default 70) is shown as ‘invite ready’.

Recommendation tiers

  • Priority — top of the funnel, strong on every dimension.
  • Strong fit — clear match, may have one weaker area.
  • Review — partial fit; needs a recruiter eye before moving forward.

Reading the breakdown

Each application has a score breakdown card showing the five dimensions used by AI screening. Use this to defend decisions to hiring managers and to spot when a single weak area is dragging down an otherwise great fit.
